We believe prayer represents our conversation with God, serving as one of the primary ways in which we seek to actively engage in an intimate relationship with God. Jesus exemplified a life in prayer with the Father throughout his life and instructs his followers to pray. When Jesus was asked, "How should we pray," he gives a perfect prayer in The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13). Believers are to have both a private and public prayer life.
