Welcome to the Senior Chair Stretching Yoga Class at Cheatham Memorial Methodist Church! This gentle, yet effective, class is designed specifically for seniors looking to enhance their flexibility and improve overall well-being. Stretching not only helps to alleviate stiffness but also promotes better circulation, ensuring that your body feels revitalized and ready for the day.
Our friendly sessions incorporate simple chair exercises tailored to all skill levels, making it easy for everyone to participate. Senior Chair Stretching/Yoga led by Judy Smithwick. Regular stretching and gentle exercise help seniors maintain flexibility, balance, and strength, reducing the risk of falls and injury while promoting overall physical and mental well-being. These practices can also ease joint pain, improve circulation, and enhance quality of life as we age.
As the Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20,
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."
