We believe the Christian life is a journey of transformation, moving from initial salvation through faith in Christ toward being "perfected in love." This “perfected love” is when our hearts freed from sin and filled with love for God and neighbor. This transformation, as revealed in bible, happens through God's grace working in our lives, not through our own efforts, and can be experienced as a present reality, not just a distant hope. We believe Christians are called to active holiness by combining deep personal devotion with zealous service to others, losing no opportunity to do good for both bodies and souls. We believe that when a person starts a journey with Jesus, results of this life can be expressed through the fruit of the spirit. Our job as Methodist’s is to spread "scriptural holiness" across the land, helping people become more like Jesus through practical, lived-out faith empowered by the Holy Spirit.
